my problem is that i have a few pounds on me, and long story at a bar one night the guys i was with were having a conversation that i overheard as i came back from the loo, one guy was saying that i was sound, very pretty, but he couldnt go near me as i was so fat.........kinda hurt, so it just got me wondering, thats all

This is AH, so if you're looking for some kind advice probably not the best place to post, OP. Seriously though, not every guy is gonna think like that guy. If you were really thin, some men wouldn't like you for that reason. Different strokes for different folks. :)

Ugh and ... jeeeez!!! Some people should be interviewed before being allowed on boards. What a stuuupid conversation. What about this kind of 'fat' girl - well proportioned, beautiful, blonde, confident and successful. That is all.

If you read any female profiles on dating sites, it's girls who seem to have issues with guys having any weight at all on them in terms of a beer belly, often carefully dressed up in language like, "must look after himself physically/be in good physical shape", etc.

Being a straight bloke, I don't read guys profiles but I doubt you'd see any with barely hidden references to a girls weight on the profile if you were to go looking...

Don't worry I'm sure there some bloke out there for you.

    How's about Buster?
Do fat chicks dig fat guys or skinny guys?

Btw, you should know there is a Personal Issues under Soc catefgory forum where people will actually be helpful.

I suspect thats because if men say she must be fit hes a prick, if women say it..well its ok,she likes sporty men

    Its not fair but true

I'm still undecided as to whether of not this dude is serious.

If so, Sanderelle, what constitutes fat in your opinion?

    Is this fat:

Or your mom? (Seen here on her wedding day:)

That's cosmetic, if he's that shallow you're better off without him, anyone should get to know the person before going out with them.

Oh crumbs. I was busy and didn't read the other comments. Now I'm offended someone AND made a "your mom's so fat joke."

    Lesson learned. Swifter replies.

Exactly, it's grand for a woman to say she only wants to hear from sporty/fit guys, but if a guy says it, he is perceived as being a shallow pr*ck...

People like that aren't worth the time of day, OP. Looks fade, people get old, and it always, ALWAYS comes down to personality. Everybody is attracted to different things in people so don't let one person's opinion get you down. Sure, it's easier for the cookie-cutter skinny girls, but that's down to what we're all told is attractive.

Oh, and good luck with this thread being in AH! Probably not the place you should have brought this issue up!

Personally speaking I wouldn't find overweight/fat girls sexually attractive at all.

Even when I grow a belly it disgusts me, I just prefer strong, fit & healthy looking people.

However I suppose if I found myself growing attracted to someone I'd normally consider to be fat I wouldn't let that stand in the way of what might be a great relationship.

AH reply - I heard fat chic's give a great ride because they're desparate for more (*cough* B/S).

lol, well im def not the second image, lol, bit plumper than the first, by the way, as someone suggested-i am not looking for sympathy, im fine with my weight...ok could do with loosing a few pounds, but i was seriously just wondering about this whole thing, ya no?? i wonder would most "fat" girls feel as if they are passed by on the dating scene

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,568 ✭✭✭candy-gal1

Nothing wrong with a bit of a porker :D

BTW what classifies a girl as fat? just curious, everyone has a different viewpoint on this anyway.

You don't actually sound "fat" at all, as you are describing yourself, a few extra pounds isn't "fat"...

    This is fat: https://us.v-cdn.net/6034073/uploads/attachments/398588/142883.jpg

Tbh could be a sexual attraction thing or a insecure macho thing e.g. I won't go out with her as lads might give me stick.

Nothing clears your boards mailbox quicker than telling would-be 'admirers' that you've gained a few pounds since the last pic you posted on the LL pics thread - works a treat I find :D

Sortof non-AH reply to OP - I don't think chunky chicks have the same 'luck' with guys, no. It only takes one to say yes though!
