    Got it on Dec 23rd last year. I thought all were paid out on that day. Just waiting for the interest on it now.

    foundation10 you better check it out with the department. I got mine on the 23rd as did everyone I know that was waiting for it. I think all balances were to be paid on that day but I may be wrong.

    it says today its a payment of 3.5% on the deferred amount , is that the 20 % or what , in my book it was all deferred as it wasnt paid when it was supposed to be

    The Journal last week said that if you had got a grant of €75k then you would be in line for €1600 in interest. I got a grant of around €50k so I hope I'll get €1200. I paid €1560 in interest on my loan (according to my loan statement) so at least it will go some of the way to covering it.

    I don't know. It seems to me that every government department deliberately fuzzes the information that they give out so that you cannot nail them down to anything if they make a mistake or a change.

    EDIT: Just took out the calculator - looks like you will get 3.5% of 60% of your total grant IYKWIM

    60% was deferred in 2009, so 3.5% on this for one year.
    Then 20% was deferred in 2010, so 3.5% on this for one year.

    60% of €75k -> €45k. 3.5% of this is €1,575.
    20% of €75k -> €15k. 3.5% of this is €525.
    Thus the total on a grant of €75k should be €2,100.
    The journal seems to have come up a good bit short!

    I wouldn't be surprised if they don't pay out 3.5% as interest rates dropped since that was decided upon.

    What ever it is, it is badly needed, to help go towards this year's payment for the bank loan on the rest of the shed!!

    the department ill bet
    was it not all tied into when you received your first payment as you were only owed the money from that date even though they stalled a lot of the files
    we will all probably finish up with different amounts

    was there anything in the journal this week about it ? didnt get it yet
