I thought it was a dive as it happened. Upon watching the replay I still think it was a dive. Didnt think Dimitar was like that, very disappointed. Never a pen imo, not enough contact to warrant a foul.

Torres looking as asleep as usual.

Its the way the sport has gone in the last while and personnally I've giben up careign about footnall over the last 18 months. I got back to playing rugby and withing weeks my interest in playing and watchign football had started to drift. At this stage I onyl bother watching football when I'm sitting here and it's on. I wont go out of my way for it. Up tp the season before last I travelled over a couple of times a year too. Theres just so much to dislike about it now and its easy to turn away when theres something else there . Dissallusionned would probably be the best way to describe it. The sport needs an overhaul on plenty of levels.

absolutely, its pish! But thats the way it is ATM so the ref has to give a pen for it. Retrospective cards or bans for diving is the only way i can think would stop it. Every club has a diver or two

The Pool are playing United off the park here.

This reminds me of something :(

Ronaldo scores an early penalty, and then Liverpool wake up to score a few goals.

    Liverpool are better atm.

Torres' touch has been awful so far, dissapointed.
Liverpool actually playing some good stuff.

I'm delighted with the start (besides the scoreline obviously). This Utd team can definitely be got at. We've seen this season they can easily crumble.

Then why are you constantly bitching about it?

Its like the fellas that run claims4u

They are fully entitled to all the compensation, they glorified their injury for by law, but its by no means right.

    It is what's ruining football.

2nd or 3rd time liverpool ghosting into the box without being picked up at all there. Thank feck for Gerrard's belief he should shoot from anywhere and everywhere or we might have been in trouble.

anybody who tells me there's not already a difference in Liverpool's play needs their head beaten by Roy's LMA award.

better closing, and we're not afraid to pass the ball.

Lucas is having a great game.

Torres is not, and Evans has him in his pocket so far,

Evans looking like he has a point to prove

i'm as impressed with how we're trying to keep the ball.

Yep far more effort from the players, and there is already a massive shift in our tactics today.

The defending deep tactic is gone, and we are trying to move the ball forward when in possession.

The style of play today is already lights years ahead of what we have been "treated" to for most of the season to date. We actually look a threat to a good team like United today, whereas under Hodgson the tactics were a total joke as were many of the team selections.

I think the big difference is that the players know that they have to fight hard under Dalglish as it will be expected, but under Hodgson they did not have that fear as second rate was seemingly acceptable.
