Derren Brown is gay? I'm sure he mentioned a wife at some point?

Oh hell yeah! Definitely watching this.

    The System
    From Wikipedia
Brown publicly came out as gay in 2007 in The Independent's 'I Believe' article. Brown told the paper: "I believe you should always come out; life is so much easier. People generally aren't as bothered by your intimate secrets as you are.

It took me being in a relationship with a guy for a month before I told anyone I was thus inclined. If anything, I was disappointed to learn it wasn't much of a surprise. Possibly my penchant for interior decor had given the game away."

    LMAO

Not sure which of his shows is my favourite. I'll have to watch them all sometime soon and decide. I was at Enigma in the Grand Canal Theatre and absolutely loved it!

Are they just counting the Events or any of his previous shows?

    The System

    just these ones
Hero at 30,000 Feet, The System , The Heist, Messiah, Séance and Russian Roulette Live

i'm guessing because in ''the events'' Derren explained how they were all done so it would defeat the purpose of airing them again
the voting is closed now any way :(

I really like Brown when he's out of character. He's very funny and actually rather sweet.

Tricks of the Mind is a fantastic book, too, he turned out to be a lot more self aware than I expected. His account of inadvertently leaving the house - and then encountering a load of fans - with his willy out had me in tears laughing, as did his description of his look as that of a "gay timelord".

Love his book. Haven't had a chance to get his new one yet though. I really should! Did you use any of the techniques from the book?

I'm thinking that Messiah and The Heist are my favourites (used youtube to remind myself).

It's like I'm scared of him, but I still want to hang out with him.

I think it's interesting how "forced" his early persona seems in contrast to him now. He seems a lot more comfortable on stage now, and a lot closer to his "real" personality.

I think that's because it's the way that David Blaine was and they were pretty much in competition with him at the time, but when he becomes his own star I guess he doesn't have to be like him.

It's scary to think that Russian Roulette was real! I thought it was fake, like the English police said it was.

It's wonderful how much Derren enjoys what he does. That's why he's so so good, I reckon.

Sweet lord. Derren Brown with a mullet. I've seen it all now.
