I couldn't believe this when i read it...

The planet's northern magnetic pole is drifting slowly but steadily towards Russia -- and it's throwing off planes in Florida.
Tampa International Airport was forced to readjust its runways Thursday to account for the movement of the Earth's magnetic fields, information that pilots rely upon to navigate planes. Thanks to the fluctuations in the force, the airport has closed its primary runway until Jan. 13 to change taxiway signs to [COLOR=blue ! important][COLOR=blue ! important]account[/COLOR][/COLOR] for the shift, the Federal Aviation Administration said.
The poles are generated by movements within the Earth's inner and outer cores, though the exact process isn't exactly understood. They're also constantly in flux, moving a few degrees every year, but the changes are almost never of such a magnitude that runways require adjusting, said Paul Takemoto, a spokesman for the FAA.
The magnetic fields vary from place to place. Adjustments are needed now at airports in Tampa, but they aren't immediately required at all airports across the country.
So just how often is something like this necessary? "It happens so infrequently that they wouldn't venture a guess," Takemoto told FoxNews.com. "In fact, you're the first journalist to ever ask me about it."

Dude I wouldn't trust Fox news. Just remember that Bill o'Reilly a Fox News host thinks that Jesus is the true lord because athiests cant explain the tides. Link

It is a matter of fact, Fox News didn't make it up for the lulz and is not April 1st. Type "pole shift" into google news, you will get other sources.

Not to mention that such a reversal is preceeded by a weakening of the magnetic field that could take thousands of years and would not happen over night. No extinctions have ever been related to reversals. Worst case scenario is that in a weakened period humanity has to deal with increased solar/cosmic radiation.

I know its true, I've watched documentaries about it (not movies like the core) but its like if you go to a company party and one of your colleagues says something stupid like
"If the earth moves 20m closer or further from the sun we'll die".
You still work with them of course, but you think twice before giving them anything sharp.

Folks this is the real climate change. Cause believe it or not what we stand can actually move too and in fact is moving slowly , but surely moving.

I think a few billion people need to dig out the geog book and I think the section is called tectonic plates and how the world was formed.

Ireland was never just Ireland but a part of the UK in turn a part of Europe ... Ya never know we might end up in the US ..

What we have is the real is climate change or climate movement as I like to call it. Harmful gases from industry, don't cause this ****, nature has billions of years of experience to deal with us real animals . People (Humans) seem to think the world will stop turning cause we are killed off. No it will not it's a planet. Like the others without life , it will keep on turning. Throwing money at this planet won't stop our faith , we are just new in terms of earth. We don't need anything to **** us up. We will do it ourself, with greed. No wonder we can't understand any other animal .

Money won't solve anything, earth will adopt it's life may not. Dose earth care ? No ..
