Lashing rain in Dublin 2. From a lampost watch perspective it looks a bit sleety but that could just be my view as I haven't been out in it but perhaps someone else could confirm?

When the band moves off eastwards it should push the mild air away with it.

Well, unfortunately GFS was spot on for myself, along with much of the East, and south east. It said rain, and I got rain. By this evening, as the band starts to slide into Wales, the colder uppers will spread into the east and there should be a period of heavy snow, whether it sticks or not, is another thing. :D:D

It started raining here earlier, it looks kinda sleety now (I haven't been out in it, just going by the lamp post outside) I could be totally wrong though but it's too cold to go outside :)

Temperature has dropped 1 degree in Dublin 15 (to 2.6 degrees) but it is still raining..no sleet yet although it will snow I would imagine in the next couple of hours.
