I have a 00 Ford Focus that was involved in a car crash recently. The damage is not huge but it would cost more than it is worth to fix so am looking to scrap it.

I got an offer of 100 euro for it, would this be a good offer or could you get better? It has an NCT until 2012 and is still in good working nick apart form the body damage, which there is a lot of.

If you have the storage space, id break it. It is more than worth 100 if you break it your self. Plenty of money in the parts.

Thanks I don't really have the time and space for breaking it up myself. So the 100 euros might be the best offer then.

He might not want to splash out on a new car for one thing, for another he may have no interest in driving any heap of €8000 sh1t available on the scrappage scheme.

Some of the scrappage deals are okay, but I don't think they will give me a car for free :D

make sure and get a certificate of destruction if you give the car away for scrap, its the only thing thatll deregister a car in ireland and without it youll always be the legal owner!
