    Girls are worse. Fact!

Oh wow, well seen as you put Fact! after your sentence it must be true!
Let's see if I can do it: You're a tool, Fact! Na na na na na Adyx is a Tooo-oool (said in a singsong voice).

    Very mature.

Actually see my second post above and ask anyone who has ever worked in a pub. If they say I'm wrong they've never had the misfortune of having to try and clean up the filth left in the ladies toilets or been knee-deep in a sewer trying to clear a blockage.

Sadly what he said is true, womens toilets are usually pretty disgusting at the end of an evening, absolutely vile tbh.

Worse is finding a sanitary towel stuck to the cubicle wall

The pub's patrons weren't even scumbags

Trap 2 is constantly out of action in my place, I don't know why lads choose that one of the 3 but its constantly abused by Mr Hankie.

Nothing worse than taking a dump in one of the traps, and someone comes into the cubicle beside you, and proceeds to squeeze out an elephant. Wheezing and straining and all. Seriously some people just lose it in there. Its not humane making people **** in that close quarters. I try to maintain my dignity, and keep surplus ass noice to a bare minimum. Its only fair, wouldn't want to put others off their game.

I remember been on a night out though, and one of the birds in work telling me their toilets are far far worse and she doesn't know what half of the sorts be up to in there. So I would agree in that women are worse. Women are generally far more untidy than blokes anyway, they are just better at cleaning. And that my friends is definitely a fact. I've lived with, gone out with, worked with, and travelled with birds, and they are a complete disgrace when it comes to keeping things neat and tidy. Sometimes this even extends to their pubic region.

    Goodnight.

is this concept another victim of the recession as well? Ill explain.
i work for a very large company in dublin who employs a wide section of society
from different backgrounds, city/country people as well as
    foreign nationals etc.

i am shocked at the continued levels of bad hygiene levels in
our bathrooms etc, you know what i mean , unflushed
loos, toilets not being cleaned and left in the right manner
after usage etc. the problem is happening the whole time.

what about our eu counterparts, are they 'leaders' in this
area in terms of showing respect for other toilet users.

i make a conscious effort to respect the bathroom facilities
before and after use and i expect others to do the same. i have
yet to sample to facilties for the ladies but would the same
    problem be evident.

i was thinking, maybe people just don't give a **** (pardon the
pun btw) or are disatisfied with their job or their lives in general
however i dread to think of how these people treat their bathroom
facilities at home. so does anyone know why in this country do
we feel it is ok to treat the bathroom facilities (workplace in particular)
    so shockingly !!!!!!!!!!

    I don't like poems that don't rhyme. :(

Worked in hotels & restaurants in my students days and inevitably as a part timer , the loo's were kindly given to us to look after :(and have to say the ladies were the worst. Some people used to crap on the floor and seats:confused:, stomach turning, could never clean when it was that bad.

Don't get me started on the public and staff on not washing hands after using the loo. Would stop you eating out.

I had new bathroom installed in our downstairs loo and it was all working except the sink had to be plumbed in, the father in law used the loo and I mentioned he could use the sink to the kitchen to wash his hands, he declined the offer, yuck! put me right off getting a cup of tea from him.

Manky fooker (your father in law).

Anyone else here avoid using the handles on public loo doors (bar/clubs etc). If there's a gap I'll usually use my foot to open the door, or try time it that I leave as someone is entering and I'll elbow the door open further!.

I've a real issue with bad bathroom habits.

The pubic region bit was just a bit of a jape, I am all for a bit of grass on the pitch really.

The poor birds, they don't have hands or anything to clean up with.

totally agree, in all the pubs ive worked in the ladies was always in bits at the end of the night. you would see loads of the toilet bowls full of bangers and mash and sometimes the water would resemble a tequila sunrise cocktail. the gents stunk of piss but thats all

I think personal hygiene is worse then how people treat toilets. Sorry, but to many out there just SMELL and this i dont like.

No, my mum is bacteriologist in a hospital. Old style air conditioning is the same. It spreads bacteria and you breath that .... in.

    This is true .

Same goes for me with the touching door handles of toilets in pubs/clubs and will if possible push door open with foot . I also agree about the public transport issue were some people smell like the just had the contents of a full stinking , refuse bag emptied over them .

I agree. I find it's not really a problem on the expressway routes I usually take because people aren't crowded together but whenever I'm up in Dublin I can't stand going on packed buses as there's always someone who stinks from BO or cigs. Makes me feel sick :(

I worked in a 5 star hotel in Sweden as a chamber maid and rarely had problems with having to clean up messy bathrooms- people puking, blood or whatever, thankfully. Nothing to do with the guests being better off, I think it was more that it was mostly business people who'd stay one night and you'd barely know many had been in the room as they usually only slept there and showered and then checked out.
Pretty easy job I thought and the pay was good. :)

I've been greeted with horrible sights in the ladies of some pubs and hotels here though. And yes I think women seem to be worse than guys in that regard. I think a certain percentage of Irish people of all ages and both genders are generally just filthy pigs TBH
Basic hygiene like hand washing after using the loo and not leaving a public convenience in a filthy state after use and respecting other peoples property doesn't seem to be a taught by a lot of parents to their kids here and it pisses me off.
Oh and I'm Irish before anyone says anything :P

Public loos don't seem to be cleaned with any regularity here either (except at airports).
I was in my ex's home, his friends gaffs and in hostels in Germany a few years ago and you could eat dinner off the floors of the bathrooms and loos of any of them.
Public loos there are cleaned regularly to a strict schedule so they're kept sparkling clean.
That's how it should be done.

Hmmm  I worked in a 5 star hotel in Ireland for few months .... unfortunately and i didnt think it was easy at all. I can't imagine whats going on in a cheaper hotels... poor girls.

You would think that would be the case. I worked for an investment bank in the UK. Most people I worked alongside looked and acted the part i.e. dressed well and looked smart and clean but the girls loos could be a disgrace. The cleaner once told me that the boys loos were never half as bad.:o

You doubt my veracity? I didn't say it was the easiest job ever but it was fairly easy enough I found for the time I worked there, but then that's Sweden where pay and conditions for workers are generally exceptional. Bosses were kind too and treated me as a co-worker rather than just an employee. I was paid a decent monthly salary (as all are) and got about 7 weeks hols. in total off a year. Happy days :D
Yeah I wouldn't be doing that job here though. Pay would be crap for a start and I can't see working conditions being as good.

The problem you'll find in a lot of cases in hotels and other establishments in Ireland / UK is the cleaning staff are so badly paid but expected to do way to much , in so many hrs and while it's not excusable , you could in some circumstances understand why they are not going to put any great effort into it , specialy when some people make it 10 times harder by leaving their rooms and toilets in the disgusting states mentioned .

I'm a girl and, for the life of me, I can never figure out what exactly some girls do in bathrooms to make them as disgusting as they are!
I worked in fast food in college and I found everything from toilets backed up by pregnancy tests to blood on the walls to sh*te on the cistern!!

The worst toilets I've ever seen are always the ones designated for visitors in hospital bathrooms!
