Hi there. We have opportunity to buy low mileage Antara for a good price but we know nothing about this car. Is it reliable? Are there any owners who could share their experiences. We're finding this a very difficult decision. We did a test drive which was great but if this is a good car why arent there more of them on the road?

    Thanks for any advice

They are as rare as hens teeth. The Chevrolet Captiva (the same car) seemed to sell a few more. Had one for a 24 hour test drive and hated it. My main gripe was its lack of a 6th gear. 100 or 120kph in fifth and the revs are uncomfortably high for a diesel. If you like it go for it but they're are much better options out there and the Antara's resale value would be terrible

The Sister in law has one and has had, and still having a lot of trouble with it. Steering kept locking up, in several times about that. Now a management light has come on and they are saying warranty was up 2 days ago.
