OK - I know it's a New year, a new leaf and all that and after the period of festive food excess we are all supposed to be furiously dieting and going to the gym.

But dammit...it's 1.50am in the wee hours and I have a craving for a BK Whopper.:D:pac::pac:

So which are boardsie's favourite burgers? And I mean burgers just from "fast food" outlets - no GBK, no Eddie Rockets (too pricey...)

If the Whopper had Big Mac sauce on it then i would choose the Whooper otherwise tis the mighty Big Mac. Got love that brand of 1000 island dressing they use in the Big Macs

Dude I'm sorry to break it to you but that is no guarantee! I used to work in a McDonalds on weekends while in secondary school/college. If it was really busy they would pick one already made and open that baby up and take the pickles out.

Only way to absolutely guarantee it's fresh made is to ask for no onions/cheese/sauce or get it plain/only ketchup/only cheese.

Gourmet Burger Company are also excellent.

Jo Burger are amazing.

Rick's are okay, but they always fall apart.

Zaytoon make a decent burger, has to be said.

BoBo's were good but are now not so much.

If I have to stick to the two options, I have to say an Angus Whopper.

Don't like McDonalds food at all, pure muck that leaves you more hungry than you fecking were to begin with.

I think the Whopper has the edge over the Big mac - there's more meat and salad in the burger plus the flame grilled BK taste. The Big Mac is too bready.

I hate the BK chips. They changed the formula for them about 10 years ago and they are just rank.

My fave McDonalds burger would be a Quarter Pounder without cheese. That way it's made fresh for me.:)
