    Sadly I've heard so many stories things like this (similar ones in this thread). People walking down the road chatting away to each other i nGaelainn and then having a torrent of abuse thrown at them and being told to go back to their own country. Not only is it shocking that people can't recognise the Irish language when they hear it but what's far worse is the vicious racism that's clearly alive and well here still.
    Ah, yeah. Rereading that it's actually pretty clear what you meant, my bad.
    Don't worry about it, I shouldn't expect people to be mind readers! ;)
