Why is anyone going to work?

For all you lucky people that have jobs. Can I ask why in holely name of god all christ almighty is anyone going to work?

There is so much corruption happening at the top here in this country. Our government is making fools out of everyone going to work to pay tax on your income to steal it and squander it away and add it to fat pensions.

I work because I like keeping busy. I enjoy the creativeness of my job. I like to eat, provide shelter for myself and enjoy the little things in life that unfortunately cost money. I don't like paying taxes, but it's unfortunately a necessary evil. That enough reasons?

Am working over 5 1/2 yrs now and very greatful to be I return tomorrow but I tell ya if I lost my job anytime soon I couldn't be idle again been there done it such an awful waste of a life that it can be.

I'd go crazy without something concrete to focus on. Two weeks without college and I'm already itching to get back. Still haven't started any of my assignments, of course!

Friends of mine on the dole are about to embark on the third 5+ day trip to Amsterdam in the past 14 months. As well as drinking once or twice a week and never being short on recreational drugs for lack of money.

To answer the OP: I go to work because it's a handy bit of money each week. Can't sign on while I'm in college :P

I work because I love my job. If I lost my job in the morning I would definitely have to find something to replace it, even voluntary work as I cannot stand being idle

All this b0ll0x about self-respect and going mad with boredom if you didn't work is nuts!!!

I mean really? If I didn't have to work I would find endless things to do and never be bored. Ever. Even if I was broke, I'd be happier just chilling out and relaxing rather than working. Working is boring.

As for self respect. I don't get any self-respect from working. Workers in this country are the biggest gillies of all time. It makes sense in this country NOT to work. I don't consider myself any better than people on the dole, just randomly luckier.

Money is the only reason to work. You'll get your odd freak who gets personal satisfaction from fcuking spreadsheets but they are mentally ill.
