Divx Plus Player wont play my audio but plays the video

Hi all readers. I've a 6 month old Pentax Optio E85 digital camera it saves videos as divx files. When I shoot videos and then download them onto the computer, they are Divx files and use the .avi extension. I'm not much experienced with Divx at all but its only just been installed on the PC so its an up to date version.

When I click on run DPPlayer and open any of my OptioE85 vids, they play through with no audio.

Thru goodle, I've learnt about Gspot, this program tells you what codec is required for both video and audio aspects of a file. Gspot says that the audio codec is PCM audio and that 'no codec is needed', it says the video codec is MJPG and that it is installed.


Gspot then will render and play the file no bother. Still Divx Plus Player wont do it. Realplayer wont either.

Anyone come across this?


****Edited: Just tried Windows Media Centre and it played it, so end of problem, still cant figure why divx wont play its own file.
