Watched most of star trek V a little while ago with my 6 yr old son.

He thought it was pants despite my repeated attempts to get him to concentrate on it.

It really is pants though.

The scene with Spock saving Kirk from the rock climbing fall is a classic.

As for the wrath of Khan, also pants.....

Already has been. The new Virgin Galactic plane has been called Enterprise, if I remember right. Yep. Ha, one of the other ones is called Voyager. God, I love Richard Branson, whoever knew he was such a Trekie!

star trek fans launched a campaign to get the first space shuttle named Enterprise.

it worked, they got the name.

thing is, it was built for atmospheric testing , no heat shield etc. so it never got to space

And besides it won't be the US who makes the first real space ship. Actually they won't have a manned launch capability in a few months time. Meanwhile the Russians are still using a modified 1957 ICBM for manned space filght, because it works.
