Not sure if there's an animal rescue per se, but the dog warden is in town.

    See here

I don't know where it's based but the website is here:

The Coolaney one is closed (SSPCA).

I think there's one just past Davis's pub in Drumcliffe. It's on your right, about 300 yards past Davis's as you drive toward Grange. I think there is a very small sign for it, which can be easily missed.

That's the dog shelter, where the dog warden operates from.

That's where you got our fella from. If anyone is looking for a dog I would recommend them.

Don't think they have a rescue centre as such but all the volunteers are based between beltra and skreen.

Ya it's grand. I was talking to the woman from the Sligo animal rescue and she said that they don't have a premises.

    Hi dmne!

I have three gorgeous kittens ready for rehoming in the next fortnight! PM your details and I will email you some pics!

We have two black and whites, and one white and copper (sort of)

    :-)

@dnme - if you can wait a little while, the spring bursts at the seams with kittens looking for a home.

you can expect to find them from march. you will be able to get two sibling kitties, which is ideal. i got a male and female right here on boards.ie, and they are awesome. you can keep an eye on the rehoming thread, in the pets forum:
    http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/forumdisplay.php?f=240

meanwhile, the sligo animal rescue people might need help fostering adult cats or visiting or feeding cats they are keeping?

Thanks folks, I'll bear you in mind. Not rushing to be honest and the kitty will need to share with a dog so want to do it right.
