RTE is something else that must go along with FF.

    Why?

The Late Late... Naa, I'd rather watch paint dry. :pac:

As I've already said tonight, in another thread, it's not all it's cracked up to be.

There was a great sporting documentary on RTÉ Radio 1 earlier today entitled 'Who Fears to Speak of '98?' that had me sitting in the car outside the house listening to it for a half an hour after arriving home. It's a long time since that has happened. In my book, quality radio (e.g. RTÉ Radio 1; RnaG, Lyric, BBC World Service) is generally much more interesting, more informative, better quality and less commercial than tv any day of the week.

RTE Radio One documentaries are almost always fantastic.

Getting very sick of the "Who?" posts on here when somebody well known gets a thread about them.

Outside of people with an interest in GAA, Paul Galvin is a nobody so its no surprise that he isnt well known to everyone.

Getting very sick of the "Who?" posts on here when somebody well known gets a thread about them. You are not superior because you don't know a man who is very famous in Ireland. And if you don't know who they are, do you really have to tell us?
    Are you serious!
Just because I might be a plank for not knowing, subsequently am I not allowed to even ask within a thread that references him?
I might be stupid for not knowing who he is - that just makes me stupid more so - not bloody superior as you would have me bloody falsely painted!
Get over yourself and remove the chip from your shoulder!
    I was only fcukin' asking!

    Jeasus, some people are unreal!

My point is that it is hardly necessary for anybody to post on Boards saying "Who". It happens in nearly every thread about somebody famous (we can debate levels of fame, but you get what I mean). Anybody genuinely interested in finding out who the person is can use Google. It just strikes me as being posted to show how wonderfully unaware some people are of popular culture.
