Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

A thread for anyone doing this, it was printed in the Indo sports section today and should appear over the next few weeks.

We've had a thread for the last few years, so ask and answer in here.

Remember to use spoilers for those who don't want to see the answers!

70 No testing times for suspended Africans (8)

Driving me mad, I've related it to the rugby players who were suspended for the Autumn ints but I can't fit the word. My letters are _ _ _ _ A _ W _

    And the thunderstorm one?

Is the answer to 92d = one iron

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 4,115 ✭✭✭Pal

    ZIMBABWE
    (Africans suspended from test cricket)

    ONE IRON is correct

  • Registered Users Posts: 7 An Sionnach

I thought the answer to 60a was Kerry initially but that doesn't fit as the answer to 37d is Ian Holloway

  • Registered Users Posts: 30 tullamore dew

60a I think is royal -fits in
70 d is zimbabwe- not playing test cricket at the moment

    105a is not SPAR
but definately STAR which is Kieran Donaghy's nickname.

Also for 38a it says it is 6 letters when there is only actually space for 5 letters.

    Ans is
LOGAN ; Gabby Logan ; Logan is an anagram on ANGLO

  • Registered Users Posts: 7 An Sionnach

Thanks Tullamore Dew. Pal thinks 105a is Spar. I may be wrong but I think it's Star, the nickname for Kerry's Kieran Donaghy.

    ? 16a = D-h--a.
    ? 31a = -a-l. Is it Gael.
    ? 58a = --i.
    ? 59a = O--. I presume it's Orr.
    ? 77a = --s.
    ? 79a = U--a.
    ? 89a = --a-.
    ?102a = U--e. I presume it's Urge.
    67d = --r-o.
