ITV were showing Santa Claus the Movie, staring Dudley Moore, this afternoon.

Turned the TV off in disgust and haven't been near it since.

Dont see Indiana Jones/Great Escape listed either .

Kingdom of the Crystal Skull is on at some point.

    *sorry couldn't resist*

Its good that RTE are showing Michael Collins tonight and then again tomorrow night just in case you miss it!!

There's also the Departed at 9.00 PM.
Nothing says Xmas like letting the kids stay up and watch The Departed.

Hopefully the Royale Family will be better than last year, can't decide if I'll risk the new camp "reality tv" comedy set in an airport at 10.

Yeah the slew of brilliant TV from Yank cable land (HBO, AMC, Showtime etc) has wrecked our tolerance of ****e soaps and rubbish Christmas specials.

27th december: Charlie brookers screenwipe Review of the Year 2010 - (i remember watching this last year, Very funny, he basically reviews all Of the ****e on tv over the past year, And makes it sound funny).

29th December - ROCK AND CHIPS= Only fools and horses spin off) Its a spin off programme to the old classic only fools and horses, Very good programme, it basically shows the trotter family back in the 1960s, when rodney was around 4-5 months old lol and del when he was 19, and the rest of the family.

[[ After the 29th theres rubbish on again, So really after these two programmes and top gear on tomrrow (26th). Thats really it for xmas Tv!

Good point; I misread the original reply and saw ''depression'' instead of ''desperation''. My apologies to philstar.

Some of us have been sent to the sticks for christmas and abandoned tv as the depressing option of four channels is worse than the cap on the not so great internet. Lucky I have about 200 films on the HD...

TV is generally ****e all year round, not just at Christmas.

When there is something decent to watch, I just view it online or download it so I don't have to sit through ads every 15 mins that are repeated during almost every ad break.

Watching TV is unbearable now. It's only a matter of time before it disappears in its current form.
