I'm off to start a thread on Dublin vs. the county of my birth. It's that type of originallity that keeps people coming back to AH.

It definately has its moments. Threads like the stingiest one are just classic.

But then you get threads about the government, religion and the economy. Those do my head in.

Its not even enough to just to avoid those threads, no matter what the thread is some tosspot always manages to get a dig in about fianna fail brian cowen etc. It seems to be the cool thing to do these days..

I can't say I agree there... especially the Man U superthread - there are an unbelievable amount of idiots who allegedly support Man United, yet know nothing about the game or even their own team.

Every season it's the same - United start off slowly & you'd swear the sky had fallen in - people calling for players to be sold, writing them off & even saying that Fergie is past it.

    It's embarrassing.

You get the same type of dopes ringing up Live After Five every weekend too, talking the same sh*te.

There are some great posters too, but far too many saps to make it enjoyable most times.

    :D

Have to say like most of the posters, I think despite rivalries people are generally pretty fair, maybe its because I'm an Arsenal supporter, I might feel different if I was a Man Utd or Liverpool supporter as the rivalry is more intense, but can be amusing when they play each other for us neutrals :p

As I said most topics in AH are ok and can be funny, but when AH does serious topics, particularly the repeat topics, I tend to try and avoid them.

I find it the most entertaining and as I don't feel particularly attached to any forum on boards, this for me is the best forum.

AH is only a place to come when there is nothing going on in the proper forums, like now for instance.

    I don't know...

IMO the AH is overrated. It can be fun and enjoyable but most of the time it ain't.

Not really in my opinion, I don't post that much over here, tends to be full of jokey pisstake responses (which is fine if you like that :D) but I tend to post elsewhere on boards.. let's put it this way, there are enough forums on boards to choose from!

    :D

Motors forum ftw. A far superior level of debate in there.

    I suppose it is.

Second best forum is the Ladies Lounge. It's funny to see all the men who post there in the hope of getting laid. We all know the ladies lounge is full of dykes.

It's unbelievable the amount of men in the LL. (And I hear that the best place to meet a guy is at a LL beers!). Do ladies hang around the BGRH area?

AH is the best. Sure we can all be weirdos here regardless of sex.

The sex and sexuality forum is the best. Can't believe how easy all the women are on it :-)

    Crap never mind. Delete, delete.

loads of women post in tGC forum too, theres great banter in both.

Ranting and Raving is a great forum , if you don have access, ask for it, Cries of Retail is the funniest thread on this entire site.

First Class Lounge is great too - like a massive swingers party with free booze :)
