I don't care to be an elitist but if anyone wants to set up a 'Canyon Owners Only' club I'll join.. twice!!

I aint got no car so I can't really advise you regarding a rack. I'd imagine that they wouldn't all be suitable for your Almera so, unless you can find a rack review by someone with a car similar to yours, this might be something that you ought to check out in a shop rather than online.

I'll be relying on the charity of others to get my bike out on the trails.

Love it! The road bike looks awesome too. Must be amazing to have one of each. Went to Stradbally woods today in Snow, mud, crud, endless inclines and long fast downhills and the bike is just, just awesome. There were quite a few runners there today and a couple came over wanting to know about the bike. Looking to go to Wicklow next week. Cant wait!

Got its first action today. Just two short trips to and from home (about 5 miles in total). Felt like I was on one of these. Any jaywalkers in my way would have just bounced off. I loved the sound of the tarmac under the wheels.

So what's the delivery status on your bike 5T3PH3N?

Btw, this thread has been OT for quite a while now. Don't know if this is a done thing here but the mods could split it perhaps. 'Ordering Canyon MTBs' being a title suggestion for the other thread.

Received an email early this morning stating the bike will be handed over to ups in the next 48hrs.

And +1 about the thread title.

Second that! We need a Canyon Bike Forum. The cycling part of boards needs a few categories adding. Admin?

I received one of those emails on thursday the 2nd. I didn't get actual shipping details until the following Monday and it arrived on the Thursday. If it's likewise for the shipment of your bike then I guess you can expect to have it on tuesday next week. Missing your birthday but in time for Christmas.

I can't see them going for that. A whole forum dedicated to Canyon bikes might be considered a bit much. Would you be putting yourself forward as the mod?

Aye! This thread is no longer about the Canyon Roadlite 5.0 Road Bike....We need a few more sections in the boards cycling department. e.g. Brands or something. Then we can start Canyon, Specialized, Lapierre threads in the right place that dont get lost after 24 hours. I dunno.... The cycling forum section needs categorising as it's one the most used on Boards. Road, MTB, Then further, Maintainance, Trails, Kit, Bike Brands........ Ya get mi? At the moment it seems like it's a mess, hence why threads like this get turned into big long discussions about everything... you also end up with duplicated threads on the same subjects. If we start a thread called 'Canyon' after a day it's off the front page and lost. Any way. Don't wanna start another massive discussion. :)

    @ Lemag

What size is your Ultimate CF?

I ask because I have seen photos of some of the smaller ones and they look a little unusual. Yours looks to have nice proportions though !!

Mine's actually the second smallest size which is a 52. It must be just my trick photography ;)

It looks like I would have got it today if there were no airport delays, which I think you said earlier in the thread. I'm hoping it will get over during the night and Ill have it by tomorrow evening.

How's your bike going for ya anyway, have ya been out much with the weather the way it is?
And thanks for the birthday wishes. I went to CSS with some birthday money and got some shoes and some other stuff:)

I'll cross my fingers for you ST3P43N. Be sure to post up some photos when you get the chance.

I haven't actually got a chance to take it out besides the trip which I've briefly described above. I'm in the city centre so I've tended to err on the side of caution and not bother with all the ice and tarmac about. I've put it in the hall though so that I can still admire it everytime I walk passed it.

Hope you got yourself some good winter gloves during your css spending spree if you didn't already own a pair. They're great for snowball fights :D
