Hi. What would be the best company and what would be the rates to do a small delivery (up to 10kg) from Ireland to India (New Delhi)?
    Thanks!

Etihad Airlines fly from Dublin to New Delhi on a weekly basis and they offer an Air Freight Cargo service. I reckon they would be cheaper than
An Post who charge €80 for a 10kg parcel and deliver in 6-8 working days.

    Hi Romka,

for small quantities like that, An Post is likely to be the best/cheapest solution.

    Hi RS1987,

Indeed Ethiad fly a number of times to Abu Dhabi with connections to New Dehli. However, the minimum cost per shipment, including export formalities is likely to be € 100 +++. Also, that will only get you to New Dehli or any of the other airports Ethiad fly to. It then has to be cleared, there will be import handling costs and delivery on top of that. Ethiad probably do not deal with airfreight themselves but would refer you to a cargo agent.

My experience suggests that regular airfreight becomes more economical once the shipments go over 60/70 kgs.

    Cheers,

Thanks guys for your replies. Seems I will have to use An Post.
Any idea what they charge for a 5kg box? (or is it by dimensions?)
