Blathnaid was seen on CCTV getting into the rear passenger side door and the cab, which drove along Sir John Rogerson's Quay towards the City Centre.

The taxi appears to be a black Mercedes.

When last seen Blathnaid was wearing a black 3/4 length wool coat, dark jeans and possibly a black and red scarf.
Now, I have tried Googling for a list of the number of black Mercedes in Dublin, but have had no luck thus far, so was wondering if someone here may know?

Between black and Navy I'd say there are enough for it to be a bit of a trawl. still it's an excellent lead.

I'm sure the guards will figure it out without us!

When the Gardai where searching for the killer of Rachel Callely(turned out to be Joe O'Rielly), one of the leads they had was a Fiat Marea. I knew two different people with them(different years, colours, and body types) who the Gards called to, to rule them out of the inquiry.

It shows just how thorough the Gardai really are, and the fact that this could be a very good lead.

Could the CCTV (either traffic or commercial) pick up the plate number or reg number? Or gotten a glimpse of the cab office on the taxi sign?

To be fair to the guards they work very closely with the Taxi Regulator.

Few years ago i got a call from finglas garda station asking me did i own a white taxi, which i did. They compared info with the Taxi Regulator and gave them a list of all white taxis in Dublin as a white taxi was seen on CCTV at the time of a murder in finglas and wanted to talk to the driver.

I had to go into Finglas Garda station to give a statement to say i wasnt the driver of the taxi that was on CCTV.

I hope she is found ok and soon :( surely the taxi driver would know his own car picking her up there and come forward.

My uncle had a dark coloured one for work at the time and happened to be out within a few miles of the Naul that day. He got a knock ont he door and was questioned about it.

How come the CCTV doesnt show the reg or roof sign ?

Looks like an older square headlight E300 or something like that. Not a newer E or C class.

From that, it looks like the car is heading west. The banklink she at is about 270m east from the camera postion on Sir John Rogersons Quay as seen here. Does anyone know if the tapes for those cameras are taped? It may lead to a better picture of the car, and thus lead to someone knowing whose car it is?

Defo looks like a W124, chrome arched at that. Surely that should narrow it down a bit. Amazing the driver hasn't come forward.
