    If you look at the Orion belt - the three in a row, the bottom one kinda points at it. Been wondering myself what it is too

    It's Venus. Venus is often referred to as the morning star. But it's obviously not a star.

    Its Venus. Saturn is a bit higher and a bit to the right of it too.

    You should all download Stellarium. Great and easy program for finding out the names of stars.

    Uranus and Jupiter are visually very close to each other currently (only in the evenings). Though they are very close to the horizon currently. I'd love to see how they appear at the moment...assuming they can even be seen with the naked eye.

    Oh, and FYI...Saturn, Venus and Mercury are the only planets currently visible in the mornings.

    The flash of light you saw in the sky was not a UFO. Swamp gas from a weather balloon was trapped in a thermal pocket and reflected the light from Venus.
