So I just go an email wishing me luck, which basically included every other person's email who attends WIT. Who are these clever people in support?

    Have you notified Computer Services?

Yup, sent them an email not like they can do anything now.

Got this email today and am pretty annoyed by how they went about it. Have they never heard of BCC?

It wasn't to every student in WIT, just a selected group on a separate mailing list. You are being advised to contact the Data Protection Office in WIT (never knew we had one) but one would assume they should have said to contact the DPA nationally - not locally in WIT which is a separate body.

The group which sent the email has since apologized. Its embarrassing alright.

I think it would be unfair to name the group that sent it, because it identifies the student group in discussion and will fuel discussion and possibly cause embarrassment for those who were "named" as such.

I've never had any dealings whatsoever with the group that sent the email.

[edit]Unless the SLL team administrate the grants.[/edit]

The normal grant, or one of those extra ones college-based?

I didn't think they were involved with that, odd. Did you do anything about it?
