    Hi, I was wondering if anyone is getting married in Knocklofty House Hotel, Clonmel, Co.Tipp. If so, could you please post back.

    Not getting married there; but looked at it and absolutely loved the location next to the river. We didn't appreciate the 'quaint' aspect sufficiently/wanted more modern facilities, however. That river location was outstanding, though, and the people running it are much more likeable than that unhelpful, charmless, inflexible oaf who runs the Minella in Clonmel (which is also next to a river, albeit without the privacy of Knocklofty).

    Raheen House in Clonmel was the best we could find, but they realistically couldn't take more than 120 people. The management there was a lovely contrast to the guy in the Minella but we still had to say no for capacity reasons.

    I live locally, and just to let anyone know who's interested: Knocklofty House Hotel has closed down.

    Anyone who has a deposit paid might want to get in contact ASAP. I was reading in another forum that a bride was having trouble getting in touch with management....
