    Hi,

I have a 1999 Honda HR-V with the CVT gearbox, what are the 2 buttons mounted on the steering wheel?, one has the letter "D" and the other the letter "S"

    Thanks

    D is for regular driving
S is sport mode (I.e using more fuel and making more noise)

4wd was optional at the start. IT became standard later as did the 5 doors.

As far as I know it doesn't use a conventional 4wd system, I think it uses hydraulics to power the rear wheels if the fronts lose grip. SImilar system in the cr-v as well.

    Open to correction of course
