Jesus, if people're having this much trouble with my first name, I'd hate to think of what they'd make of my surname.

    What about Fræda?

No! That will be too difficult to type when we're talking about you behind your back.

    It's frah-da or no-dah.

    Frah-dah sounds right.

But better if you add an exclamation mark -

    Frah-dah!

It's weirder overhearing your username in public. Was in a pub with a few mates and while a mate was getting his shout in at the bar, he overheard two women lurker types discussing Boards, specifically PI and my handle was mentioned. Hotfooted he came back to tell me this so I sauntered(I generally do, sometimes even sashay) to the bar and listen to their convo about how one of their situations(the verrrry cute one) mirrored one on here and how I was giving good advice. I started to stand a little straighter and check myself in the mirror behind the bar. Right up to the point where the cute one said "yes she gives good advice alright". Bollocks. "Pint of Jemmy and a funnel please barman":D:D

I've also been stood at a bus stop lost in my own thoughts and Admiral of the fleet walked by saying "Oh hello Wibbs". Took me about ten secs to register that one. In fairness even if he'd used my name it would have taken 5 secs.

Many worry about Artificial Intelligence. I worry far more about Organic Idiocy.

I wouldn't be too upset, Adam has the same vibe.

No. But it is odd when someone else calls you by your username in non-boards company. Like a colleague did at the Christmas party...you know who you are.

I don't know if everyone else was more confused that he'd said it, or that I'd responded.

I've never been embarrassed myself but people shouting across the bar "Hey Master" have certainly been embarrassed :pac:

If you go into someone's profile it says their previous usernames in the "About Me" section ;)

As for the OP, I'm never embarrassed to say my actual username, more embarrassed to admit who I actually am :pac:

How would __________ of said their's?

Either "underscore, underscore, underscore" or by just standing there in silence, I'd imagine.

I met the user Errrr! at a beers. When I asked her her username, I just thought she was a bit thick.

Yes, won tickets to the GAA in Croke Park through boards a few months ago and they were left in the ticket office under boards usernames.... I'd say the lads behind the desk were having a good laugh at some of the names. :pac:

Ghetto Cornetto. God, that's so much fun to say.

We should become a crime fighting duo with names like these.

    boneyarsebogman and Ghetto Cornetto.

I dunno, I can't see us striking much fear into anyone.

Only one person I think knows mine. Must go to one of these beers things and embarrass myself soon (nothing to do with boards name!). When is there one?
