It seems Ricahrd Nixon thought that irish couldnt handle their drink and became "Mean" especially the real irish

Many Irish people seem to think it is simply putting as much drink down your throat as possible. No matter what you end up doing. Maybe that's what Nixon meant

To be able to drink is to lorry as much porther into you without it adversly affecting you, end of.

Quite a few of the Irish can't handle their drink.

As mentioned before handling your drink isn't the ability to throw 12 pints into you and then get home alright. It's your ability to be responsible after having some drinks.

The stereotype of being pissed up idiots who like to fight didn't appear out of nowhere. There much be a noticeable crowd doing something wrong for a stereotype to develop.
