How can I achieve the smokey eye look?

Hi,

How do I want to achieve the smokey eye look? I like the way cheryl cole's make-up artist does her eye make-up.

What products can I buy?

Are MAC make-up worth the money? Also interested in hearing what make-up you would recommend for it..

A good place to start is youtube, theres some great tutorials available and they usually say what products they've used.

I'd agree, you're better off going on youtube, you'll get a better idea of what you want, and how to do it.

As for what products to get, I don't think you need to stick with designer brands. Mac mascara's aren't highly rated, and most people find that drug store mascara's suit them just as well as designer ones. You can get really good cheap eyeliners. Shadows can be very hit and miss, so maybe fork out for these if you want, but if you look hard enough you can usually find really nice stuff in your local chemist.

You could try a kit like benefit big beautiful eyes.

Has everything you need & also shows you how to do it.

I found it quite good & i am useless at that sort of thing

Definately check out youtube tutorials, they'll show you everything you need to do as far as the application goes. It's not hard, just takes a little practise.
