In fairness Kahn boxed the head off him in round 11, round 12 was a bit more shakier for khan, I don't think he will have a harder, more crdue boxer than Madiana to face again in this division. His chin might be questionable but I think the punch that started that onslaught in roun 10 would have decked many a fighter.

Not going to be able to sleep for hours, never have I been so emotionally invested in a fight. I was Willing Khan on, jumping all over the place, screaming at the top of my lungs for him to "HANG ON"

    Nobody at 140 beats Khan

Me too, i was all over the place, i even got my rounds mixed up and thought round 11 was 12 haha

His Daddy Manny Pacquiao KO's Khan within 5. Pity it can't happen

Mayweather ;) Mayweather is running away though :D

Great fight from Khan, got the victory. Though a fault would be after the 1st round knockdown, he never really hurt Maidana, despite at one point landing 100 more punches yet throwing 1 less than Maidana. Maidana wasted some rounds, he didn't look it in at all sometimes.

Though at the end I thought Maidana should have knocked out Khan, and lets be honest, he should have.

great fight! good work from kahn.. nice style, fast accurate puncher! but chin is still questionable!!
Maidana might hit very hard but he is a crude guy, walks down opponent and you can pretty much tell where the punches where going to come from.

But khan did what he had to!

Ref cortez! fair but firm.. **** off.. inconsistent **** ref..

What?!? did you see that shot that Maidana landed on him, it would have k.o'd most fighters, i couldn't believe how he kept on his legs for it and his fitness was fantastic.

If he'd hurt him in an earlier round, before he was finding it hard to get out of the chair he would have.

Bitterness incarnate, like saying "if we weren't 3-0 down in the first half, we wouldn't have got beat 3-2."

Massive performance from khan, if he stuck to his own fight it would have been over in six.

3 quick vicious body shots from Khan and Maidana went down.

He's one of the hardest hitters in the world but just lacks the skill, if he had that he would be more frightening then he already is.

Was watching it on a stream which ran aground in the first round, so I missed the knockdown. I did, however, manage to catch the remaining 11 rounds though.

What an absolutely unbelievable fight. Fair play to both lads for accepting the challenge of each other and producing a barnstormer of a fight. Just as Maidana looked tired he rallied in the tenth and looked like he was going to stop Khan. Somehow Khan took the punches and won a deserved decision. Really would love to see a rematch as it was, in my opinion, the fight of the year.

Still think Khan is a bit too easy to hit. The body shot knocked the stuffing out of Maidana and although he did throw some huge bombs, in truth he was ragged and unable to build any concerted pressure. Khan will come a cropper against a more polished fighter who won't let him off the hook when he's hurt. In fairness to Khan though you have to admire his heart.

Agree with all of that bar the rematch. Khan wins any rematch easy, even though he should've been sparked out in this fight.

A big coming of age for khan if you ask me,

No not really. Its saying if i hurt you before you hurt me i win not you. I'm hardly bitter either i was rooting for Khan.

Disagree, style wise khan beats anybody at 140, the big test was a pressure fighter like maidana. He nearly got sparked and showed the two things that people questioned: heart and chin. At the risk of sounding like an apologist, the sky is the limit for this kid.

Wow. Those two are amazing, what a fight.

I called Khan chinny on numerous occasions, I was wrong. He has a wonderful chin, just a bit easy to hit.

    I'm still shocked. Pure class.

Would have loved a draw just for the very fact that we would've gotten a rematch.

    Khan did deserve it though.

    Poor choice of words. Apologies.

Howver, the fact remains Khan knocked the stuffing out of Maidana early on, maidana rallied but it wasnt enough.

Saying he would've knocked khan out barring the early knockdown is false accounting no?

Cracking fight that, really enjoyable. Khan would have finished it in the 1st only for the bell and I thought Maidana had him in the 10th but Khan showed a big improvement in being able to take those hits. Overall a cracking fight and I had Khan as the winner by 2 rounds.

Maidana nearly fell through the ropes trying to finish him. Very scruffy. A better fighter gets his shot away, hurts Khan and moves in for the kill with a bit more composure. Khan is still too easy to hurt and he may be a super fighter, he is a super fighter, but he'll always run the risk against a capable puncher.

TBH if Khan wins against a Marquez or Cotto/Margarito and proves he is out and out world class, I would love him to fight Pacquiao or Mayweather before either of them retires.

well done khan, never thought he would win the fight that way,

Not at all. Maidana hardly rallied. He got lucky with a shot. He was exhausted from the punishment he took. My sole point, something you're reading far too much into, was if Maidana got his lucky shot off in the first four rounds instead of the tenth he would have had the strength required to finish Khan. As it happened he was just too tired in the tenth to make anything of it.

that's the best fight i've seen in a long time. Khan proved me wrong big time.

I still don't know how he survived that 10th round. it must be due to his incredible fitness and stamina. Focus on Maidana being a crude puncher, or lacking composure, is just reluctance by some to accept that Khan withstood some big punches, even before the lucky hayemaker landed in the10th, from a guy who has a serious knock out rate, and in so doing proved many of his critics(including me) wrong. While other fighters in the division might be more skillful and precise than Maidana, i don't see them having the power to hurt Khan.

you have to sign up, but the big fights are available fairly quickly the next day from that site. also some of the torrents are free leech- meaning you don't have to upload a required amount before downloading them.
