Can anyone recommend a trustworthy, registered gas boiler technician in the Navan/Meath area? That would have some experience with Vokera boilers and the repair of them.

Recommendations by PM please as per forum rules
    Cheers

The boiler is kettling/banging. The noise gets louder as the temperature of the water increases. I have been gradually reducing the temperature from the boiler to stop the water getting hot enough and so stop the kettling. It is getting worse though.
I also think the flame might be too high and I think the expansion vessel is gone (there is water coming from the tyre type valve on it) although the pressure does not climb high enough to activate the safety valve.

Exp. vessel is dead without any doubt.
Is the heat circulating through the system i.e. are all rads warm?

If the system is heating up then there is a blockage in the heat exchanger due to hard water or sludge in the system. The fact that your telling us that there is water dripping from the shradder valve on the vessel would also suggest that it too is knackered. I would say more that likely your whole system should be cleaned out properly. If the boiler is repaired you are only covering over the cause and you will have this problem again in the future.
