Powerflushing: stubborn radiators

    Just looking some advise on the best way to shift some gunge that's been in a system 20 years maybe. Radiators are well cold in places tho the machine has shifted loads and loads from this system. My usual technique of a rubber mallet isn't persuading it and I don't have much faith in the rad hammers. Apart from replacing the radiator any other ideas? I've ran the boiler at a higher temperature also.

    maybe take off the worst rads and flush outside.

    Wanted to avoid that because "powerflushing" is meant to do away with the need to lift them down.

    Got there in the end with brut force, only getting the final cold water flush done now so it's gonna be a long night! By this time I've normally the heat back on :-(
