Looking to upgrade from my bog standard road bike. Using for training and triathlon.

    These two have cropped up.

    Lapierre Sensium 100L

    and

    Specialized Ruby Pro

A few others cropped up as well, but Im green and dont know my brands, so any advice or suggestions welcome for a womens bike with good quality components and preferably a carbon frame. Hoping to stay under 2k.

I was looking around for WSD bikes for a friend lately, the best deal I could find was http://www.rosebikes.co.uk/article/red-rose-carbon-sl-300-3-fach She has gone away to think about it as she had this in mind http://www.trekbikes.com/uk/en/bikes/women/road/madone52wsd/

    Both come equipped with ultegra.

The madone 5.2 is well out of my reach, pricewise. The rose looks good but I want to shop somewhere I can test ride, check the fit etc(and support local shops). Plus it means I have somewhere to go back to with any glitches. My last bike was an online purchase which is all well and good, but not so handy when things go wrong.

What can I say about the Ruby ...? It's great, amazing frame, flexible and really confortable. Been riding my Ruby pro 2008 since oct 2007 and I love it. OH has also tried it ( yes yes the 44cm) and he was quite amazed by the way it handles.
