37 inch Grundig tv only E359 in Argos

    Not a bad price, but might be worth holding out for the sales a little closer to Christmas. People in the UK seem to like it:

    Looks like a bit of a bargain alright compared to the other 37" - 40" Tv's out on the market.

    One question though, would this be Saorview compliant? I see it has full HD and freeview but can't see anywhere mentioning MPEG4?

    Just under the 'details' section on the link it says:
    "Please note that the digital and Freeview features of this TV are not available in the Republic of Ireland"

    Just under the 'details' section on the link it says:
    "Please note that the digital and Freeview features of this TV are not available in the Republic of Ireland"

    It says that about nearly all the tv's on the site.
    The Samsung C530 series has the same warning, yet it does have an mpeg4 tuner and can recieve Soarview.

    Research all of the tv's and just don't take Argos's word for it.

    AFAIK - This message is to do with UK services and I think is linked to a requirement for a British television licence. Saorview isn't affected at all by this and should work.
