My earliest musical memory is Imagine being on the radio constantly. I'd say, even though I was only two and a half, that was around the time of his death.

Where was I when John Lennon was shot dead ?

I was actually takin a shit in a pub jax in Birmingham.

Two guys came in and I heard one say that John lennon had been shot dead.

I flushed away the huge baton of sour midden that I had just squeezed out into the pan..and thought.......

"Thats two less sh1tes in the world today", calmly completed my ablutions and left the building.

I was pretty small so although my parents told me the news at breakfast, my reaction was, "Who's John Lennon?" I do remember that as the day went on, all the teachers at school were talking about it. Even the old cranky ones...

And didn't really care that Lennon was shot.
