    Roads are shocking here ,black ice everywhere! and Its steady sleeting too and just freezing then on the ground.

    footpaths are deadly I have heard of a lot of injuries most of the girls
    in my job are full of bruises take care people.very cold here have to get a thermometer soon to check the temps

    People in my area are saying they never seen the roads as bad tonight, cars colliding everywhere. nobody can even walk out there ,its so dangerous .

    Sandyford update:

    After a slow thaw from yesterday afternoon till dusk this afternoon, the temp is now -3C. Snow cover fairly intact. No precipitation today.

    Over and out. :cool:

    Roads: Cleared and treated outside the estates. In the estates a foot of frozen snow, drivable with care.

    Clear and calm in Galway city. Hard frost overnight, min -3.6C, now -2.2C
    Roads around the town are very icy, especially in the estates and footpaths are particularly treacherous! !

    Road is an ice rink... even gravel around house is covered with ice..
