NVIDIA Driver's

So my question is: do you use/update your VGA NVIDIA Driver with an nVidia WHQL from nvidia.com's site or do you use the often later release from your manufacturer (ASUS, PNY, MSi & EVGA etc. etc.)

I hear very different arguments for both methods, so I'm looking for clarification and the reasons for why you would use one and not the other?

Always use the standard driver to maximise performance and compatibility. Only use the OEM driver if the normal driver is completely and utterly incompatible with something :o

I download drivers directly from NVidia. After some some bad experiences I don't install geforce experience anymore (haha, bad pun). Geforce experience didn't do anything useful for me and could never successfully install new drivers.

I'm running the new "wonder" 337 beta now. Seems good with bf4, definitely smoother and better FPS. Hasn't caused any problems for me otherwise, although I hear it's got some issues with virtualization (which I don't use).
