Why isnt there any selling races in Ireland.

    Does anybody know why we dont have any sellers here.

    I have seen claimimg races on the flat here are they similar to the sellers in england.?

    Its mainly down to poor facilities Robbie. Not enough tracks and the tracks can only with stand so much racing....
    Also the Powers that be can barely programme races for rated horses and manage the balloting system which is a joke.

    The industry needs change, but there seems to be no-one in HRI or The Turf Club with enough vision or determination to do anything!!

    Nice one Sprouts...

    However, there is a benefit for seller races.. They aren't world beaters but at least there is races for horses of that calibre and owners can at least see the horses in action.

    Over the years there wouldn't have been demand for sellers races here bar the mental Celtic Tiger years.
    The main customer base for ready made racehorses was always GB.
