Undoubtedly one of them thought he could fly after consuming the evil drug but due to weather conditions ended up grounded on the runway at Cork airport where the law caught up with him.

He made Cannabis butter and pizza! A deluxe stoner Margeritta sounds nice.

Fair play to him and his entrepreneurship.

Since the beginning of the year, there have been more than 500 garda raids on DIY cannabis-growing operations.
Around 70 of these are sophisticated industrial-type grow houses run mainly by organised criminal gangs, but most of the raids have been on drug users who have turned to growing their own due to the economic recession
All that's really happening here is the guards time is being wasted and the courts time is being wasted as nothing will come out of most of these arrests. It's a suspended sentence so he won't be going to jail it was all just a big money making racket for the legal profession.

    Eh, no.
It's my body, I decide what goes into it; you don't get to put mind-altering substances into me as a prank.

Pretty basic liberal thinking right there.

Of course had he SOLD cannabis to knowing willing consenting adults he would probably have got six years not suspended

Oh sorry, I misread the OP and didn't see the article link.

Yeah, we should probably legalise it sometime soon.

Pascal Sheehy reported on the 9pm news that in 2010, 470 people have been arrested for very small home-growing operations. He alluded to it being because of the recession, people are "growing their own".

This news report should be focusing on the wasting of taxpayers money on gardai spending time and resources on arresting hundreds of people for something so harmless and irrelevant.

Seriously sick of hearing stories like this.

When will they see that 70 years of prohibition has done nothing? Why waste so much money on fighting a losing battle when its only going to get bigger.

Legalising it will cut most of this petty crime that just pisses money away as they can just go and start again after being caught.

When will they see that cannabis is becoming a niche for people. I for one HATE alcohol. I think its more damaging than cannabis but wait, it makes money so lets keep it going.

Tobacco kills, makes money so let it keep going.

Why not Cannabis? Alot of money to be made. But known the fools here they would find someway to mess it up.

Apologies, I did eventually tardily link in post#15 ....but no the title was misleading, there was no suggestion of spiking AFAIK.

    *GONG BOOMS*

    apologies!

A suspended sentence? The man should have got an IDA grant ffs........When's his recipe book coming out? It would have made a great Christmas present!!:)

I know it's a suspended sentence, but the very fact that you could get 3 years for that is beyond ridiculous. Look into some real crimes boys, god.

Cannabis won't be legal until there is a strain that damages people badly and/or causes their early demise while being highly addictive.

That's why alcohol and fags are allowed be sold.
