Is it possible to set up different offline users so me and my mates can compete against each other on time trial and have a leaderboard?

It seems to be a USB job, though I may be wrong.

theres somethin very satisfying about winning races with the exact car you have in the real world. Now if only i was allowed drive like that to work!

was thinking of picking this up, but credits are not the best atm...

    so a few questions.

is there any way you can modify car in its visuals? similar to forza?different paint jobs, wheel color? lowering?

If you upgrade exhaust, will the noise be different?

doing engine displacments? something like forza, where you could make mx mk1 with rotar engine.

and is it really worth it?

You win a Dodge pick-up for completing one of the early championships...... I just can't remember which one.

You can add stuff to your car that make it look different but just on premium cars. Any car you can change colour, but premiums you can change the wheels, wheel colour, body kit etc.
Not sure about exhaust noise. I upgrade the exhaust on every car I got, so can't compare noise. You can't change engine.
I haven't used a premium car yet so I can't be 100% on the above, but the game is definitely worth it. My only problems are that crash damage is rubbish and you can't make the AI cars spin by nudging their back end out. Would be nice to see the odd AI crash, but they drive like they're on rails.

I bought a Corvette Stingray that qualifies for so many races. I didn't think I had a French car to do that French Championship, but that Berlinette you win early on does the job nicely.

Such a good car, I drove it in the Clubman Cup and won with ease. I know it's only the Clubman Cup, but I'm still fairly bad at this game, so it made me happy.

Same as that. Lovely car to drive loads of grip. The Golf V Gti is a bit of a slow coach....thought it would be much faster than a Mini Cooper.

I put a few of the usual cheap upgrades into it to bring it up to 270-280 bhp and I could easily win a few series with it

The Lupo GTi that you win is lots of fun around the Nürburgring. You can really throw it around the corners and the grip levels are huge, it's just a little slow in the straights.

Yeah, lots of the cràppy car races are a great laugh. Much better than having every race with supercars

That's one of the Amazon sellers, Amazon itself must be sold out. I got one there last week for £80

^ That would look perfectly real except the car doesnt reflect the railing or the powder.

Nothing! I picked up one from argos and so far so good, mounting it is tricky though, the better your set up for keeping it stable the more you'll get from it. I attached mine to the back of my guitar amp but I have to kind of lean my foot out to the side to get at the pedals and there's nowhere to put my left foot at all, gets uncomfortable after awhile.

Hey if you're feeling particularly flush you could always go for this...:D

I've gold in all the Beginner and Amateur races bar the Pick-Up. Professional is getting pretty hairy, especially the Supercar race. All my cars getting laughed at.

Not being able to fast forward and rewind the replays, or just save a particular clip from a replay is a bit annoying. Unless, somehow you can, in which case it's just annoying that I can't figure it out.

Some standard cars from 97' or so actually come with the graphics from 1997. The premiums make up for it. Just don't take a photo of one of each together :(

Sounds like he's ignoring the biggest problem (imho) which is the woeful AI drivers. They constant ram you off if you're on the racing line, getting very annoying.
But who cares about that, far more important to know when the official soundtrack is out.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,528 ✭✭✭Lucious Sweet

Around 40 minutes. Mine was stuck on 12 minutes for at least half an hour

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,347 ✭✭✭✭Grayditch

I went and did something else while it was installing. Just sayin'.
