Bought an iPhone for direct from Apple (patiently waiting for delivery ;)) and was just wondering if, like iPods, Macs etc. is the iPhone covered worldwide?

I ask because I'm going to Canada for a year in January so wanna know if my phone craps out if I can expect to walk in to an Apple shop and get it repaired or will I have to send it back home?

iPhone now has a worldwide warranty. NOT ALL macs have worldwide warranty, only the portables. iPad still says they may insist on repair in country of purchase, but I'd imagine they wouldn't push that.

Another question, I didn't buy Applecare at the time of purchase, like with my MBP can I buy it any time during the first year?

    Yes you can.
