when is it too cold to wear a skirt

    When do you say its too bad, its fine being out but getting home is when you feel it, or am i just soft

    I think your okay if you wear tights I love wearing skirts and long woolly jumper dresses at winter time I just match it up with nice tights and boots like my docs.

    Definitely wouldn't go bare legged though :eek:

    Yes bare legs, i think ill be ok if i drink lots of vodka before i go out:D

    I had my graduation this time last year and I went bare legged, I was frozen! :P But I did go drinking after! :) YAYY warm!!!

    Today I'm wearing two pairs of tights with checkered vans. My toes are sooo cold! :) I love wearing dresses with my doc martins, they are sooo toasty and you have to wear thick socks because they can be quite sore on the backs of your ankles! :)

    I'm still wearing skirts with thick tights and leggings, stopped wearing them with bare legs back in September :P I hate being cold!

    Personally I think bare legs/sleeveless tops when out in the cold look a bit slutty at this time of year.

    How can we judge?
    It's too cold to have bare legs when it's too cold FOR YOU to have bare legs?

    Personally I think it's silly wearing a skirt without tights/leggings, and then freezing your tits off, and then hearing girls complain about how cold it is!!

    But seriously, you shouldn't have to ask about something such as this!

    I don't think it's ever too cold. I feel much warmer in a pair of thick tights and a skirt than a pair of trousers.

    Plus, if it's freezing, you just double up and / or wear knee high socks.

    Bare legs... I'm picturing purple/blue legs in this weather which isn't hugely attractive!

    I'm here jumper, hoody, slippers.. and heating cos I'm inside!!

    I was around the city tonight and even with a carpet of snow on the ground some girls won't forsake the fake tan if theres a chill out!

    I couldn't do it, i've been in tights since september and started wearing two pairs of tights at the end of november.

    I wear skirts in any weather. At this time of year I wear black tights, or if they don't match the outfit I go with skin tights.

    When posters say bare legged are they including skin colour tights?

    I imagine for a night out its bare legs - with the fake tan and all that jazz. But fleshy colour tights are really thin so that's as bare as I go, and I only do that in Spring/Summer. Its at least 80 denier for me nowadays! I can't imagine only wearing 15den tights at the moment!

    Craziness.....I could only go bare-legged in Ireland at night for about three nights a year. Seriously, even in August it can be too cold at night! I was wearing tights and a fur coat the other night and I could barely make it to a taxi it was so cold!
    It's a bit like girls who wear Penney's platforms on a night out and then hobble unattractively around - having blue goose-bumped legs while you stand shaking from head to toe is not a good look. Why do Irish girls think there is only one 'going-out' look?!

    I was at a Ball last night and really, in winter, I think something fancy like that where dark tights won't match your dress is the only time to wear bare legs, but for a regular Saturday night skirts and tights would win every time! During the day I wear skirts/long jumpers with thick tights or even leggings, big thick socks, boots, and off I go, much cosier than jeans or anything.

    I stopped wearing bare legs in September this year, the only girls who brave the winter weather with blue shivering legs are 17 and drunk.
