started to run to gym for recovery runs followed by some much needed strength work for the last month, follow that with a relaxing dip in pool and then hang around steam room for a while. Just wondering are there any benefits in using it or is relaxation the only thing? The small things i think about .....

I find the sauna really helps my legs after a long run, i honestly feel i recover faster and have less aches if i use a sauna !

Benefits can be there for those going to race in hotter weather, in terms of temperature and humidity adjustments.

Other than that - heat is nice :)

Sauna seems to help recovery and also help me sleep post race or hard workout. The steam room sterilises me !
