Nah, lazy mathematicians you mean :p I must say that my lecturer is very good. Shame that I'm completely unable to learn maths from someone else =/

I hate projects with a passion. Project management stuff sounds so bad =/ Actually, it doesn't sound as bad as doing the project bit. Hmmm weird.

Sleep time! With kittykitkit ^_^ Goodnight people!

I'm sick of mine going on about you did this for the leaving cert bla bla, as if I remember anything from that long ago.
Do you just work away with a book yourself? I'd say I won't even use the notes from class, you waste half the time trying to figure out something when he's either written it down wrong or you have grrrr

I have over 20euro in bus refunds to cash in later

Yeah. Me, book, cup of tea/coffee/hot chocolate (depends on moods an needs), a laptop (can't study without a laptop). At the end I'm usually happy because I can't stand feeling useless, which means that I can't stand being idle. I'm not a note taker anyway so I'm happy enough without notes. More than half my notebook is conversations and doodles >_>

If you don't really use your class notes, what do you do?

books and just doing out problems, taking notes keeps me awake in class though, I get seriously bored in the classes that we don't need to take notes.

umm no not again, before I had under 20euro, now I have near 30, I'm gona cash it in and eat it :)

I think notes are more useful as quick reference material and to sort out the information in your head a bit as you're being taught, rather than to study from them. Or maybe that only holds for certain people, or certain types of information. Idk.

I thought you had 20 euro the last time? Or was it nearly 20? Get a student bus ticket! Or put in the exact fare!

just nearly 20 yup, I'd say I have about 28 now or something. Student bus tickets are pants for 1.15 fares though, doesn't work out cheaper, pretty hard to have exact change all the time, I usually have to buy chewing gum to break notes not to mind.

    I don't know what they're like :( :P

Really good, Matt is really talented, I haven't listened to Trivium in a good while though, not too sure I'm mad on them.

I don't even know why I have to do, will probably just apply to people doing lab-based projects which I'm not so I reckon it'll be a snoozefest, it's not on till the evening either but I have to be in for something at 9 and my supervisor is not even around again :/

Oh yeah. I forgot that not everyone has to pay €2.20 each way :(

The exact change thing is solved by asking cashiers to give you change for the bus. And using 1, 2 and 5c coins. It's not like the bus driver has to count them themselves so that's how you get rid of them (as opposed to using them when purchasing goods, which annoys the cashier so much that they'll probably be thinking about how to murder someone without getting caught.)

no coz then cashiers moan about having to wait for a customer so they can open the till and I do use up all my small change, just 1.15 twice a day is a lot of change. And I'm the last person to mind watching a cashier count all my small change plus the self-service in tesco is the best thing ever for getting rid of all that.

I think my housemates think Im the most anti-social thing ever on the laptop while watching tv :pac:

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,541 ✭✭✭anothernight

Having to wait for a customer? I'm talking about splitting a 1 euro coin into 20c coins or something like that, if the 1 euro coin was already part of your change for whatever purchase anyway.

Those people who come in and ask to get change for a note, or change without buying anything are just tossers who should be ignored (and possibly despised) tbh.

But yeah it's annoying having to pay in coins and the exact fare. Such an annoying bus service in Dublin. If it were up to me we'd use the Spanish system, where if you want to get on the bus you should buy tickets beforehand and if you want to pay the driver directly, you pay more. That way there's no queue due to people taking their time finding coins in their purse, or asking how much it is to where, or just arguing with the driver. Why would you need to talk to the driver anyway? *hates Dublin buses*

    Sigh.

Happy flowers and sunshine and lollipops and the smell of non-frosted-over freshly cut grass, and winter and nighttime and chocolate and sweets.
    There. :) *is happy again*

Why are poke wars so fun?

    *hates Dublin buses*

I was unemployed all last winter and had actually forgot how horrible it is on the bus this time of year. Got a bus yesterday. Lashing rain. Got on, roasting on the bus, all the windows steamed up, rain water sloshing all about the place. Sweating because of all layers you've on. Feeling like you're going to suffocate. Can't open a window for fear of being stabbed in the eye by someone else on the bus.

What is it with people fear of the rain anyway? It's just a bit of water. I'd rather get a bit wet than suffocate in someone else's sweat.

People on my bus seem to always want ALL windows open in such a way that the bus is just as cold as outside but also draughty :(

It's probably impossible to be happy on the bus when it's cold outside, because people will always have different perceptions of coldness and different amount of layers... And could you not take off your coat and a few layers? :p

I know what you mean though =/

Dublin Bus sucks ass, always has, always will :pac:

They should bring a system like that, but it's probably too complicated for them to think of using such a good idea tbh.

Freshly cut grass, winter...but crisp air nighttime is awesome! <3 chocolate, need to eat lots less now though :(

Poke wars...I've been in two for the last month at least, one of them is 4 months old now :P

That whole bus thing, I empathise with ya! Had to do it for almost 3 years going to my plc college...people either sweating from too many layers and no windows open, or too smelly for the same reason, afraid to feel a bit of cold.

Rain is grand tbh...it's only water! I dunno why people hate it so much...I only really dislike it when it's combined with a breeze, then it can go f itself!

    Oh well...up at 6:20am...goodnight all!

I loved primary school, spin the bottle, ring around the rosie, kiss chase, having slaves and masters, training baby infants to chase down as one a person and pinch them silly - especially in the crotch :D

he's a sexy beast himself so I'll let him away with it
