    Well, the current tri-colour, although historic, defines the differences between Unionists and Nationalists, as well as promoting the peace. Surely, we have come a long way from then as to not pay attention to that fact. Would you support a new government system, constitution and a flag that incorporates everyone...

    The tricolour is iconic and tbh if there was a new flag it wouldn't command as much respect as much as the tricolour.

    Good point.

    Its just that since the formation of the Free State, corruption has run rampant where politicians where voted in, made their personal fortune and then left. To this end - the flag, constitution and system has nothing to be proud of.

    A new flag incorporating all races, beliefs, classes, political preferences, sexual orientation etc would be just for a New Ireland. A fresh start.

    Could we adopt the government and flag of Côte d'Ivoire?

    It'd be cheap as chips to replace all the flags making for massive savings in the budget.

    Plenty. Scrap all the religious stuff for a start and go back to the style of the Irish Free State's constitution.

    I would not replace the tricolor although the original flag of Ireland the simple green flag with a gold harp is impressive, and the flag consisting of the 4 provinces individual flags is also impressive.

    I would be in favor of a new political system. Party politics does not work.. it is the individuals that people have faith in NOT parties.

    There are too many people fighting each other over "power" when they should be working together for the greater good.

    Irish politics does not work
