    Any ideas?

It also works when I plug the cable in, it just won't pick up my internet as wireless.

    Any help is much appreciated.

are you sure that wireless is enabled on your laptop, and if it is that you are entering your providers key correctly.

    Can you elaborate more??
Can you see your wireless network when you scan wireless networks in range?
    Is there any error etc?
    What os are you using?

Check to see if your ssid is hidden. If not try changing encryption type and then channels. Your access point may need a reboot between changes.

Also only make one change at a time otherwise you won't know which fixes it.

I had similar issue with new laptop recently.
I am not sure why it worked but I changed the routers settings from being wireless b/g/n to just the more recent g/n and it worked fine then.
    Finicky things sometimes.

If its picking up other wireless networks but not yours then the problem lies with your router.

More than likely the channel your wireless router is broadcasting on needs to be changed.

Use a cable to connect it up to the router, log into the router and change the channel under wireless settings.

If it still doesn't work try another channel.
