    Hi,
I've seen a top i want to buy from the Abercrombie website. I've never bought clothes online (apart from buying on ebay) but i was just wondering what the chances are of being landed with extra customs charges. I've heard of people who get stuck with customs/fed ex charges. The top is $58 if thats useful.
    Thanks in advance.

I'd be very surprised if you weren't. They usually deliver the item (if its low value) and then post out an invoice of what you owe (duty & charges).

Depends who the shipping company is, if they ship via UPS or FED-EX then you will definitely be charged, if they will ship via USPS then you probably won't be

    Hi
I am afraid you will be charged VAT. I bought a load of clothes for my daughters on site did not get charged VAT when purchased goods arrived to house still did not get charged at door - so I thought happy days!! But about two weeks later a horrible bil arrived for VAT funny thing it arrived from a Luton Fedex place. I was so glad I never went back to re-buy.
But on saying all of this this was a long time ago but now the dollar is so good it would be worth buying even if you do have to pay VAT but keep it in mind when buying you will eventually have to pay.

The item may be $58, but what are the shipping costs?

Duty will be added to the total cost of goods + shipping, then vat is added to total cost of goods, shipping & Duty and then if its UPS there will be a €13.50 + vat customs entry charge on top of all that.

For low value items its not worth it unless you really want the item.

    Hi
I suppose it all depends how badly you want something? There is an Abercrombie shop in London?
