How do i stop squeeky windshield wipers?

Hello all
I have the squeekiest wipers in the business, i swear. All my passengers go crazy when i have to use them. Worst thing is they don't even do a good job if it's raining. So, i changed them... but there is still squeeking.
Can anyone advise what the problem may be here? And what the solution is?

Maybe clean your window and give the rubber on your wipers a wipe.

What kind of car is it?

Sometimes the wipers spindles maybe worn out and cause the wipers the squeak like that.

Run the wipers in the upright position (away from the windshield) to make sure it's the rubber and not the linkage squeaking. If it is, just spray WD40 on linkage until it's gone.

Replace rubber would be a good bet. You can also wipe the rubber with white vinegar to clean them properly.

are they upside down by any chance. the set I had on the old almera were really squeeky but I flipped them around and they were grand after that

if you wipe wipers with a cut potato it seemingly does the job for a while .....

Turn off the radio, i find every time "you are the only exception " is played i look at my window wipers for the squeaky noise. Drives me mad.....

Clean the blades and the windscreen. Quite often a film of dirt/grime/whatever on the windscreen can cause squeaking and/or judder. In the past I've used methylated spirits to good effect.

Can wipers be on upside down? Don't know but my wipers have been driving me mad recently and I'm too broke to buy new ones. Did what Cookie_Monster did, flipped 'em over and they're fine! Thanks CM:)

Wash the glass and rubber with Coke and old newspaper

clean window.

Clean blade.

Spray rubber blade with silicone grease*.

Let rubber absorb it.

Problem sorted.

*If your a bit cheap you can get the same result with WD40 but if used more than a couple of times it will make the rubber swell, weaken, and the wipers life will be shorter.
