    Hey everyone,

Can someone recommend a good Chinese restaurant in Douglas?
Looking for both a nice place to sit down in and also a place for take away so if you have a couple of different places please let me know.

    Thank you for your help,

    Peter

Bamboo house and Mandarin are my 2 favourites for the takeaways.

As for restaurants. I have to say the Briar Rose on the way into town.

Manfu House in Ballinlough is worth the slight trek to get to for takeaway.

Briar Rose is decent for a sit down meal.

Am I right in thinking the only chinese that delivers in Douglas in Chans? Any others out there?

I had takeaway from Chans recently and it was amazingly good.
It seems they are one of the few that delivers in the area.

There is a Chinese in Mount Oval. Not been there myself but heard good reports.

You can also consider the Thai Restaurant on Tramway Terrace. Nakorn Thai. Good food but a little pricey

    Both do takeaways

Bamboo House and Mandrin are very poor tbh. Chans is the only one i'd go to! :)

This is closed down as far as I know. Used to order from there regularly but anytime I have passed it in the last few weeks it has been closed. I go to the Chinese in Passage now and it is very good. Can't think of the name of it right now though. It is on the left coming from Cork at the v in the road in the centre of the town.
