Been on the lookout for an Octavia VRS (either petrol or diesel) for a while now, but i want a DSG box. I've yet to see one for sale in the republic! Am i looking in the wrong places(carzone, donedeal, autotrader) or did people not buy these with auto boxes??

    Probably the last one..

Far too many people go for the cheapest "econospec" options anyway, but also have the old prejudice of "Automatic cars are slow/boring/cost more to run" etc

That's why getting an automatic generally in this country is a pain!

actually i'd say most people bought vRS's as they were cheaper than GTIs ***;) so didn't tick the option box for the DSG box .. wiht the flappy paddles option on the GTI it was about 2k extra at the time I bought mine.

***tongue firmly in cheek here (element of truth maybe)
